Kathy Nelson is known as the “Big Picture Coach.” When you’re faced with feeling stuck, stress, fears, transitions, ambitions, Kathy has a “YOU-nique” way of helping you see the forest for the trees. While you are in an uncomfortable place, or in a position of amazing growth, she helps you develop your where you want to go “Big Picture” and identify do-able action steps to get there. With focus and accountability, you find yourself moving confidently in the direction of your dreams with a plan.

After achieving major success in the corporate world as a six-figure Business Development sales professional of San Diego Title companies, and as a San Diego County sales manager of a team of fifty, Kathy saw an opportunity to help other’s navigate the personal and professional stages of their lives–as she had successfully done. She reinvented herself with coaching education and certification. She was certified as: a Co-Active Personal and Professional Coach by Coaches Training Institute 1998; a graduate school member of Coach Ville 2002; a graduate of Authentic Happiness Coaching Certification with Dr. Martin Seligman, U of Penn 2005; certified by Noble Purpose Training in 2007; a graduate of Beyond Six Figures for Group Coaching 2009; and a licensed spiritual practitioner / counselor 1996; with Masters Status 2008 with United Centers of Spiritual Living.

As an accomplished speaker and author, Kathy’s coaching work has been featured in a variety of blogs and ezines as well as Good Housekeeping, Copley Press, San Diego Union Tribune, San Diego Magazine, and most recently in the award-winning book “Heart of a Military Woman.” Kathy is recently published in, “The 365 Days of Gratitude”, by editor Donna Kozik. Kathy has appeared on ABC, NBC and CBS News and the Leeza Gibbons Show. As background, Kathy’s first job was working at Nordstrom’s department store. This is where she learned the value of extraordinary customer service. As a single mother, in 1978, she moved from Seattle to San Diego and reinvented her life. She spent the next two decades in corporate sales and marketing with a few years as a San Diego County Sales Manager and then as VP Senior Business Development Specialist. Kathy reached National Top Gold level in the President’s Club – which netted a two-week voyage to her choice of destination anywhere in the world!

In 1996, Kathy took the leap of passion and faith, by leaving the corporate umbrella and going from the security of a healthy six figure income to zero. Kathy Nelson was on the cutting edge of the coaching movement when she founded San Diego-based, On Track Success Coaching & Consulting and created the Passionate Life Approach.  As someone who has fallen down and come back stronger several times, wherever her clients are, she’s been there and back. Kathy says, “And, if I can do it, certainly anyone can, and I can show them the way.”

After starting her own coaching practice in March 1996, she also founded and directed the Professional Women’s Network. Always one to walk the talk, Kathy hired a business coach to start her practice and coached with numerous other wonderful coaches over the years. Favorites are Coach U coach Jodi Jan, Shirley Anderson (as part of her Coaching Salon Group) and Coach Mary Allen. She was fortunate to take many extra classes with Thomas Leonard and Dave Buck at CoachVille.

Kathy’s credentials are unparalleled. She was a coaching teleclass leader for By Referral Only (BRO), a national coaching/training company, for almost 5 years. She developed BRO’s online classes for Strong Foundation, Time & Planning, Visioning, Basic Business and Financial Planning. She has studied with Jim Rhone, Jack Canfield, Brian Tracy, Tony Robbins, Tommy Hopkins, Louise Hay, Terry Cole Whittaker, Dr. Paul Brenner, Dr. Christian Sorensen, Rev. Dr. Michael Beckwith (as seen on The Secret), Productive Learning & Leisure as well as many other fine motivational and inspirational leaders. She is regularly hired by companies to coach their key employees and support improving their performance, team participation and overall contribution.

Kathy has built On Track Success Coaching over the last 16 plus years by helping many clients create their own “perfect” vision of life and successfully logging thousands of coaching hours. Kathy ignites and fuels her passion by helping people identify their values and strengths and weave their passion and purpose into their lives. She takes great joy in helping her clients build successful, satisfying careers and measurably improve their happiness, quality of life and prosperity.
